Apple Store Roma Est: Your reports
The day has finally arrived! Italy's first Apple Store opened in Rome this weekend. It's quite a big deal, as this is the first store on mainland Europe, and a number of people are traveling great distances just to check it out. The folks at ifoAppleStore made a special trip, as did WeLove Apple. Finally, reader nevrozel sent us these first interior shots. So, has anyone else made the trip to Roma? Let us know!

I just came back, but I live in Rome so it wasn't a big deal. The store is small if compared to NY or London and is in a big mall in the suburbs. A couple of pictures here.

Hi
I went there saturday, the opening day. The whole Mall was opening on saturday, and it was packed full of people. The apple store was a huge success, and people really liked to poke around with all the the stuff.
Two notes:
1) Apple has a great brand in Italy, people just love it, even if the company never really invested in serious marketing here (i never saw one tv ad for apple products, as opposed to microsoft's hammering advertising campaigns). So there's a great space for growth in sales, and the store could boost them (it's in a god location: the largest and most spectacular mall ever built in Rome).
2) The store had Apple Tv on sale, and users could navigate in a menu, watch content, and so on. But what's the point of buying apple tv in Italy if the local itunes store doesn't list one single video content? That doesn't make sense. So, hurry up and get those distribution deals done, or it will become a joke.. the most useless piece of hardware ever sold on continental europe..
bye
ps excuse my english mistakes..
